Larry David and Barack Obama's HBO Comedy Just Got a Title, Trailer, and Premiere Date

The most unlikely creative duo in television just dropped a bombshell at SXSW.
Larry David - the mastermind behind Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm - has officially revealed the title, trailer, and premiere date for his new HBO sketch comedy series produced by former President Barack Obama. It's called Life, Larry & The Pursuit of Unhappiness, and it premieres Friday, June 26 at 9 PM.
The seven-episode limited series features comedy sketches about different moments in history, with each episode containing four different sketches. In the trailer unveiled at SXSW, David plays a sailor moments after the famous V-J Day kiss in Times Square - and in classic Larry fashion, things go sideways immediately, with him getting labeled a "pervo-Nazi."
The cast is absolutely stacked: Bill Hader, Kathryn Hahn, Jon Hamm, Sean Hayes, Susie Essman, and Vince Vaughan are all expected to appear. Even Obama himself will show up in one sketch.
The series is written by David and his longtime collaborator Jeff Schaffer (who also directs), and produced through Obama's Higher Ground production company. Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and David all serve as executive producers.
This is Larry David's first project since Curb Your Enthusiasm wrapped its legendary 12-season run. If the trailer is any indication, his particular brand of cringe comedy hasn't mellowed one bit. June can't come soon enough.
