Netflix's 'Wednesday' Season 2 Trailer Drops - And Jenna Ortega Goes Full Horror
Netflix's Wednesday Season 2 trailer reveals a darker, horror-focused direction with Jenna Ortega facing supernatural threats at Nevermore Academy.
Netflix just dropped the first full trailer for Wednesday Season 2, and Jenna Ortega isn't playing around this time.
Gone is the quirky dark comedy vibe of Season 1. This trailer is straight-up horror, with Wednesday facing off against what appears to be an actual supernatural threat that has Nevermore Academy on lockdown. We're talking full-on slasher movie energy, complete with jump scares and genuine tension.
The biggest reveal? Emma Myers returns as Enid, but something's definitely wrong with her character. In one chilling scene, she tells Wednesday, "You can't save everyone" while standing in what looks like a burned-out dorm room. Another shot shows her with completely black eyes. Possession storyline, maybe?
Tyler (Hunter Doohan) is also back, apparently having escaped whatever psychiatric facility they stuck him in. But the trailer hints he might not be the biggest threat Wednesday faces this season.
New cast additions include Billie Lourd as a mysterious new student and Steve Buscemi as a Nevermore faculty member with unclear motives. The show's signature dance sequences are back too, but even those have a darker, more sinister edge.
Wednesday Season 2 premieres April 30. Clear your schedules - this one looks like appointment television.
